Friday highlights from the Giants' farm: Adalberto Mejia allowed just 1 R in 6.0 IP, and Ryder Jones reached base five times.

AAA: Fresno lost to Sacramento 4-2
(allowing three runs in the 3rd inning)

Fresno: CF Gary Brown: 1 for 3, BB, SO

Fresno: SP Mike Kickham: 3.2 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 6 BB, 2 K--1 WP
Fresno: RP Jake Dunning: 3.1 IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 3 K

Brown was one of five Grizzlies to reach base twice, but he scored both Grizzlies' runs.

Kickham allowed over half his batters (12 of 22) to reach base. After four starts, his component starts are 28 H, 9 BB, and 14 K in 19.0 IP. Dunning provided long relief with 3.1 scoreless IP, including stranding three runners inherited from Kickham.

AA: RIchmond lost to Altoona 2-1

Richmond: CF Tyler Graham: 0 for 2, 3 BB, SO, 2 SB
Altoona: SS Alen Hanson: 2 for 4, 3B

Richmond: SP Adalberto Mejia: 6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K

Batting leadoff, Graham drew 3 BB and got his 9th and 10th SB. The Pirates' Hanson, a top 100 prospect, hit his 2nd triple and a single.

A week after leaving his previous start after just 1.0 IP after being struck by a comebacker, Mejia delivered a quality start.

A+: San Jose defeated Bakersfield 4-3

San Jose: 3B Mitch Delfino: 2 for 4, HR
San Jose: DH Mac Williamson: 2 for 4, HR

San Jose: SP Pat Young: 5.0+ IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 4 K--1 HR, 2 WP
San Jose: RP Steven Okert: 1.1 IP, 3 K

Williamson and Delfino connected for their 2nd and 4th HRs, respectively.

Young has pitched exactly 5.0 IP in all three starts, allowing a total of 5 ER for a 3.00 ERA. Okert had 3 K in 1.1 perfect IP for his 3rd save. Through eight appearances, his component stats are quite impressive with 5 H, 3 BB, and 16 K in 8.1 IP.

(blowing it open with five runs in the 6th inning)

Augusta: SS Ryder Jones: 3 for 4, 2 BB
Augusta: DH Devin Harris: 2 for 5, HR, 2 SO

Augusta: SP Carlos Diaz: 5.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K

Jones had his best game of the year, reaching base five times. The performance improved his season line to .222/.300/.296 through 54 AB. Harris connected for his 2nd HR.

Diaz had his second straight start allowing 1 R in 5.0+ IP. Today's start included a 7/2 GO/FO line.
