Panik was the lone Grizzly with two hits, and Brown drew three of the Grizzlies' four walks. For his minor league career Brown has had a BB/AB ratio around 0.08, but so far this year the ratio is higher with 7 BB among 54 AB.
Escobar began the game by hitting his first two batters but then retiring his next six batters. Thereafter, nearly half his batters (7 of 15) hit safely. He threw 91 pitches (58 strikes). Scribner, who had two appearances earlier this year with the Athletics, shut the door on the Grizzlies in his third appearance for the RiverCats. He had 4 K during perfect 8th and 9th innings.

Turner led off the 2nd inning with his 1st HR. Williamson was the lone Giant with two hits. After just 1 H in his first six games, he has added 9 H in his last seven games, raising his AVG to .227.
Flores had a fine start, with a season-high 9 K in 6.0 scoreless IP. After three starts, his component stats include 12 H, 3 BB and 18 K in 18.0 IP. Bedrosian, the Angels' first round selection four years ago, struck out all three of his batters in the 8th inning.

Bednar and Ross had two hits each, while the rest of the GreenJackets' lineup combined for just two hits. With multiple hits in five of his last six games, Bednar has a .365 AVG. Ross's AVG is .226.
Johnson's third start was his best so far this year, at least statistically. He allowed a season-low 1 R with a season-high 6 K in a season-high 6.0 IP. His component stats so far include 14 H, 3 BB and 15 K in 16.2 IP.
