Monday higlights from the Giants' farm: Christian Jones had 5.0 no-hit, scoreless IP, while Brett Krill reached base in all four plate appearances.

AAA: Fresno lost to Las Vegas 5-2
(allowing three runs in the 6th inning)

Fresno: 3B Adam Duvall: 1 for 3, HR, BB
Fresno: RF Tyler Colvin: 2 for 4, SO
Las Vegas: LF Chris Young: 2 for 3, 2 BB (1 IBB), SO, SB

Fresno: SP Mitch Lively: 5.0 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 6 BB, 4 K--1 IBB
Fresno: RP George Kontos: 1.1 IP, 3 K
Las Vegas: SP Noah Syndergaard : 5.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 5 K--1 HR

In the 1st inning, Duvall connected for his 6th HR.  Colvin was the lone Grizzly with two hits, but his AVG remains "on the interstate."  The Mets' Young has reached base in nine of ten plate appearances during his two rehab games.

Despite 6 BB, Lively allowed just 2 R.  With his high pitch count, throwing 105 pitches (55 strikes) in 5.0 IP, he did not last long enough to achieve a so-called quality start.  Kontos had 3 K in 1.1 perfect IP.  Syndergaard, the Mets' top prospect whom they acquired from the Blue Jays as part of the R.A. Dickey trade,  allowed just 2 R for the second time in three starts.

AA: Richmond lost to Reading 7-4

Richmond: C Myles Schroder: 2 for 3, BB, SO
Richmond: RF Brett Krill: 2 for 2, 2B, BB, HBP

Richmond: SP Jack Snodgrass: 4.0 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K

Krill reached base in all four plate appearances, raising his OBP to .371.  Schroder also had two hits, plus a walk.

Snodgrass has allowed just 1 ER in 8.0 IP over his two starts.  Today he threw 61 pitches (38 strikes) before being lifted for a pinch hitter.

A+: San Jose lost to Inland Empire 6-0
(allowing all six runs over the 6th and 7th innings)

San Jose: CF Jesus Galindo: 1 for 4, 2B

San Jose: SP Chris Stratton: 6.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 5 K
Inland Empire: SP Kyle McGowin: 7.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K

Galindo's 2nd double was one of just four hits for the Giants.

Stratton held the 66ers scoreless through five frames before allowing 2 ER in the 6th inning.  Still, he finished with a quality start that included a 9/2 GO/FO line.  McGowin, the Angels' fifth rounder last year, is off to strong start.  Through three starts, all on the road, he has allowed just 2 R in 17.0 IP.

A-: Augusta tied with Savannah 0-0 (suspended in bottom of 5th inning)

Augusta: 1B Leo Rojas: 1 for 2, 2B

Augusta: SP Christian Jones: 5.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 7 K--1 HB

Rojas's 2nd double was one of just two hits in the game.

Jones, the Giants' 18th rounder last year, had a dominant start, not allowing a hit in 5.0 scoreless IP.
