The Linking Dumplights

Kiss. The. RINGZ.

I say this so that some brave soul can take advantage and make us all proud: Ruben Rivera's Baseball Reference page is available to be sponsored for just $15. Why, that's the best deal in the history of the game!

Bochy's peers anoint him 'best manager in the game'
First: there is an autoplaying video featuring Greg Papa's voice, so watch out for that. Vigilance is the watchword here, people.

Now that that's out of the way, isn't it nice that Bochy's third World Series win is getting him all this notice as a great manager? Obviously, we've all seen how great he is for years, but now the rest of the baseball world is waking up to the fact that, as commenters here have always known, he deserves to go to the Hall of Fame. Sometimes I feel like I can't look at even completely unrelated comments without suddenly realizing I'm reading an impromptu Bochy lovefest. "You guys will take any excuse to bring this up," I'll think to myself. "You're incorrigible!"

Grading the 'MLB Executive' Predictions, 2012 and 2013
Previously on URLgenio Velez, I linked Jerry Crasnick's piece where he had major league executives predict what would happen this offseason. I remember it like it was yesterday. Well, this isn't the first year where he's done that piece. So how have the executives done? They were pretty good at evaluating players and guessing about contracts and who would get traded, but terrible at knowing where free agents were going to sign. So this year's 25-3 vote in favor of Sandoval staying with the Giants might not be as meaningful as we all hope. I mean, except for the people who don't want the Giants to re-sign him. This is good news for them.

How It’s Made: Theme Night Jerseys
Minor league teams are pretty famous for having cool promotions, and designing cooler uniforms to go along with them. The new Giants AAA affiliate in Sacramento – and at this point I'd like to offer a friendly welcome to any visiting A's fans – had a social media night promotion last year, and this is what went into making their special jerseys. I like to imagine their brainstorming session involved a lot of irrelevant tangents about dinosaurs. That'd make me feel better about my own process.

5 awesome facts about your old Starting Lineup figures
Remember Starting Lineup figures? They were like regular toys, except you might have played with them, so obviously they're superior. This is the story of their rise and fall, a Scarface-like story, except with a punter instead of a drug lord, sports figurines instead of cocaine, and market forces instead of rival gangsters. Otherwise, though, very similar.

Sorry, world, but Omar Vizquel's new painting proves that he's better than you in every way
But then, we already knew that, didn't we?
