Giants wins are good, no matter how they happen. Uh, unless those wins involve a lot of first downs or beanstalks, because those are not the correct kind of giants.
Quit making a big deal out of anomalies. Most of what happens is meaningless
When you're watching the playoffs, and it seems like Marco Scutaro snorted Rod Carew's ashes or the entire Giants offense just TP'd a cathedral and managed to mystically blame it on the Cardinals, it's tempting to assign a larger meaning to it. But really, that's just your dumb human brain trying to find patterns where there are none. And that's how you get dumb ideas like "Barry Bonds can't hit in the playoffs" or wait hold on I can't think of a second one because that's so dumb it broke my brain.
Florida Investigator: I Warned Major League Baseball Not To Buy Stolen Records
I know we're all concentrating on the playoffs right now for some reason, but let me take you back to 2013 to talk about Biogenesis and how baseball bought stolen records to further its investigation. They claimed they didn't know, and when has a sports league ever lied about not knowing something other than the entire history of every sports league? Well, it turns out, they were probably lying! Man, life can be so unpredictable sometimes.

Fay Vincent Gets The Last Word
25 years ago tomorrow, the Loma Prieta earthquake hit, and Fay Vincent, who'd been commissioner for a month following the death of Bart Giamatti, had to step up for baseball. This is Vincent's life story, from almost dying while a college student to his tenure as commissioner, to his having to resign in large part because the owners (Bud Selig and Jerry Reinsdorf, principally) were fanatically determined to break the players union. It's a fascinating read.
Also, George Steinbrenner was a dick.
Los Angeles Dodgers stepping into 21st century with Andrew Friedman
How different will the Dodgers be under Andrew Friedman? Probably not that different, though a little bit smarter. Still, we can take solace in this: the Dodgers' biggest flaw this year was their bullpen, and the Rays' bullpen wasn't that good either, so obviously Friedman is bad at bullpens and the Dodgers will never have a good one and they'll just keep signing crappy ex-closers and they'll never win anything and Yasiel Puig will poop his pants weekly.
I think you'll find my logic there is airtight.
