The Giants announced their NLCS 25-man roster on Saturday. There are no alarms and no surprises. Michael Morse is on. Gary Brown is off. The rest of the roster is the same.

The roster still includes Ishikawa, as expected, and I think we're just a little too cavalier about this. You'll be used to John Bowker in 2016 and Brett Pill in 2018, too. What has happened to our capacity for amazement? Where is the wonder? Are we dead inside? Why aren't we stopping people on the street and talking to them about Ishikawa?
The 12-man pitching staff is still ludicrous, especially considering that Yusmeiro Petit is back in the bullpen to be the designated long reliever. But that's a topic for later today. There are the 25 men who might help the Giants to the World Series. Let us root for them.
