Sunday highlights from the Giants' farm: Eric Surkamp, Ryan Vogelsong, and Matthew Lujan each allowed just 1 R in 6.0+ IP, and Juan Perez and Mitchell Delfino both homered while reaching base in all four plate appearances.

AAA: Fresno defeated Albuquerque 2-1

With his 10th HR, 22nd double (excluding his double in MLB) and a single, Perez had over half of the Grizzlies' five hits.

Making his twelfth start this year, Surkamp had a season-high 8 K while allowing just a single run. He has a 3.38 ERA in six PCL starts. Kontos and Hembree combined for 3 K in 2.0 perfect IP.

AA: Richmond defeated New Hampshire 8-3

Richmond: CF Ryan Lollis: 3 for 5, 2B, SB
Richmond: C Tyler LaTorre: 1 for 4, HR

Richmond: SP Ryan Vogelsong: 6.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K--1 HR

Lollis had three hits, including his 20th double. His 3rd SB this year was a steal of home. He has hit .274/.348/.379 through 372 AB this year.

Vogelsong's fourth rehab start was at least statistically strong. He threw 58 of 85 pitches for strikes.

A+: San Jose defeated Bakersfield 7-4
(rallying with four runs in the 8th inning)

San Jose: DH Ricky Oropesa: 2 for 5

San Jose: SP Jason Forjet: 6.0+ IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K--2 HR
San Jose: RP Derek Law: 1.0 IP, 1 K

Lofton led off the 6th inning with his 3rd HR, which was the lone XBH for the Giants. He also had his 20th SB. With two singles, Oropesa was the lone Giant with two hits. His third straight multi-hit game raised his AVG to .347 in 33 Cal League games.

Forjet faced just two batters over the minimum through six innings and then allowed a leadoff HR in the 7th inning. He finished with his first quality start in two months. Law pitched a perfect 9th inning for his 11th save this year.

A-: Augusta defeated Charleston 6-5
(allwoing three runs to tie in the top of the 9th inning but scoring the winning run in the bottom half)

Delfino hit his 10th HR while reaching base in all four plate appearances. The performance raised his SLG above .400. Payne also reached base three times.

Despite allowing nine baserunners, Lujan allowed just a single run. He came up one out short of having his fourth straight start with 1 R in 7.0 IP. He has a 2.51 ERA this year.

ssA: Salem-Keizer lost to Spokane 2-1

With his 1st pro HR and a couple singles, Miller accounted for half of the Volcanoes' five hits.

Making his first start after fifteen relief appearances, Paniagua had 3.0 scoreless IP. McVey followed with 3.0 perfect IP. Both pitchers have ERAs below 3.25.
