Friday highlights from the Giants' farm: Kensuke Tanaka and Bobby Haney each homered while reaching base three times.  Also notable, Kyle Crick allowed 1 R in 5.0 IP, and Mac Williamson homered again.

AAA: Fresno lost to Las Vegas 9-8 (10 innings)
(taking the lead with six runs in the 6th inning but allowing two runs in the 9th inning to tie)

Fresno: SP Mitch Lively: 5.0 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 4 K--1 WP
Fresno: RP Geroge Kontos: 1.0 IP, 1 K

Dominguez, who reached base five times, and Tanaka, who hit his 1st HR while reaching base four times, each had three of the Grizzlies' thirteen hits.

Lively had his streak of consecutive quality starts snapped at five.  Kontos pitched a perfect 8th inning.

A+: San Jose defeated Bakersfield 10-2

San Jose: 3B Myles Schroder: 3 for 6, 2 2B, SO, SB
San Jose: RF Mac Williamson: 2 for 5, HR, SO
San Jose: SS Bobby Haney: 2 for 4, HR, BB, SO

San Jose: SP Kyle Crick: 5.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 4 BB, 5 K

Williamson homered for the third time in four games.  With multiple hits in four of his last five games, he has raised his AVG to .284.  After hitting less than .240 the first two months of the season, he has hit better than .315 since the start of June.  Haney connected for his 4th HR.  Schroder's three hits, including his 13th and 14th doubles, paced the Giants' thirteen-hit attack.

Crick allowed nearly two baserunners per inning but kept the damage to just a single run.  After thirteen starts this year, his component stats are 46 H, 39 BB, 1 HR and 84 K in 61.2 IP.

A-: Augusta defeated Hickory 10-9

Augusta: SS Alberto Robles: 4 for 4, 2 2B, E
Augusta: 3B Mitchell Delfino: 2 for 5, HR, E
Augusta: 1B Joseph Rapp: 2 for 5, HR
Hickory: 3B Joey Gallo: 3 for 4, 3B, BB, SO

Delfino and Rapp hit their 11th and 6th HR.  With four hits, including his 8th and 9th doubles, Robles improved his season line to .327/.385/.424 through 165 AB  Gallo, whom the Rangers drafted 39th overall last year, did not homer (he has 33 HR this year) but did reach base three times.

Allowing a season-high 8 R, Lujan allowed more than 3 R for just the second time this year.

ssA: Salem-Keizer lost to Boise 8-1

Salem-Keizer: SP Chase Johnson: 3.0 IP, 5 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 2 BB, 1 K--2 HR, 1 HB

Hollick had three of the Volcanoes' four hits, but he was also the only Volcano in the starting lineup without a walk.  Ross hit his 11th double while reaching base twice in three plate appearances.

Johnson had allowed just 8 ER over his first eight pro starts but tonight was tagged for 5 ER in the 1st inning and another ER in the 2nd inning.

R: Giants defeated Rangers 7-4

Scottsdale: 2B Will Callaway: 1 for 4, HR, BB, SO
Scottsdale: SS Christian Arroyo: 2 for 4, 3B, SO

Scottsdale: SP David Snelten: 5.0 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 K

Callaway hit his 1st pro HR.  Arroyo hit his 5th triple plus a single.

Making his sixth start among thirteen appearances, Snelten had new career highs with 7 K and 5.0 IP.

DSL: Gigantes defeated Diamondbacks 8-3

Dominican: 2B Marco Guzman: 3 for 4, 3 2B, BB
Dominican: RP Shawn Gomez: 3.0 IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 2 K

With three doubles and a walk, Guzman (19.0 y.o.) raised his OPS above .725.  With 3.0 scoreless IP, Gomez (18.11 y.o.) improved his W-L record to 7-0 in eighteen appearances, all in relief.
