Friday highlights from the Giants' farm: Chris Stratton and Mitch Lively combined for 14.0 scoreless IP in their starts, and Angel Villalona, Ricky Oropesa, Matt Duffy, and Devin Harris each homered while reaching base at least three times.

Brown's three hits, including his 26th double, paced the Grizzlies' eleven-hit attack, but his AVG remains below .240. Adrianza had two hits for the third time in five games, raising his AVG to .351 after 57 AB in the PCL. The 41-year-old Ramirez, now in the Rangers' organization had two of the Express' six hits (all singles) and one of their two walks.

For the third time in his last eight starts, Lively allowed just 1 H and 0 ER in 6.0+ IP. Overall, he has a 5.30 ERA this year. Kontos pitched a perfect 9th inning for his 2nd save.

AA: Richmond lost to New Hampshire 5-2

Villalona hit his 20th HR. After just 4 BB in his first 30 games in the upper minors, he walked twice tonight. He has now hit .246/.286/.458 in 118 AB since his promotion.

Westcott came up shy of a quality start. The loss dropped his W-L record to 4-11. The Blue Jays' Drabek made his ninth appearance since returning from Tommy John surgery and faced just two batters over the minimum in 4.0 IP. He threw 50 pitches (30 strikes).

While combining for ten of the Giants' twenty hits, Harris, Oropesa, and Duffy hit their 21st, 12th and 6th HR this year.

Allowing 2 R or less for his ninth straight start, Blach improved his W-L record 11-3 after nineteen starts (counting two long relief appearances after rehab starts as effectively his starts). Sandbrink pitched a perfect 9th inning.

Houck hit his 4th HR. After two hits in four of his last five games, Payne has a nearly .950 OPS in ten Sally League games.

Stratton pitched a career-high 8.0 IP, while facing just five batters over the minimum in that time. In his last three starts, he has 13 H and 19 K but 12 BB in 19.1 IP. Tonight's performance brought his ERA below 3.25. Gardeck pitched a perfect 9th inning.

In his fourth pro start, Vander Tuig allowed a career-high 5 H in just 2.0 IP. Shadle provided long relief, striking out half (7 of 14) his batters in 4.0 scoreless IP. Montero pitched a perfect 9th inning for his 9th save.

Batting leadoff, Paulino reached base three times and even managed a steal of home.

Flores made his first start after six relief appearances but allowed a season-high 3 ER. Gonzalez, making his second appearance, had 2.1 perfect IP in long relief.
