Tuesday most notables from the Giants' farm: Martin Agosta and Chase Johnson combined for 8.0 scoreless IP.

AAA: Fresno defeated Omaha 7-4

Abreu, playing the second game of his current rehab assignment, had three hits to lead the Grizzlies' thirteen-hit attack.  Among three other Grizzlies with two hits, Brown hit his 27th and 28th doubles, and Tanaka reached base four times.

Lively delivered his fourth straight quality start.  He has a 3.87 ERA over sixteen PCL starts.

AA: Richmond defeated Akron 7-6

Richmond: CF Ryan Lollis: 2 for 4, BB, SB
Richmond: RF Jarrett Parker: 1 for 2, 2B, BB, HBP

Richmond: SP Chris Gloor: 6.1 IP, 9 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 3 K--1 HR

Batting leadoff, Lollis reached base three times.  Parker also reached base three times.  Both have OBPs close to .350.

In his 24th start, Gloor allowed a season-high 9 H and matched season highs with 5 ER and 5 R.  He had allowed 5 R just twice previously this year, both of which came in his first three starts.

A+: San Jose lost to Modesto 9-3

San Jose: 2B Ryan Cavan: 1 for 4, HR
San Jose: LF Devin Harris: 1 for 2, 2B, 2 BB

San Jose: SP Jason Forjet: 4.0 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 2 BB, 5 K--1 HR

Cavan, who had at least 9 HR in each of his previous four pro seasons, hit just his 3rd HR this year (in nearly 300 AB).  Harris reached base three times.

Making his ninth start in seventeen appearances, Forjet allowed a season-high 5 R.  His ERA rose to 3.93.

A-: Augusta defeated Greenville 2-0

With another multi-hit game, Jones now has a .797 OPS in 155 AB since the all-star break--200 points higher than his .595 OPS in 191 AB before the break.

Agosta, making his first appearance in over three weeks, was very effective in his abbreviated start, allowing just one baserunner in 3.0 scoreless IP.  Gardeck continued the shutout with 4.0 scoreless IP in long relief.

ssA: Salem-Keizer defeated Hillsboro 3-0

Jones and Miller each had three hits, while also drawing a walk.  They raised their AVGs to .378 and .390.

Bouncing back from his last start (5 R in 4.1 IP), Johnson had a career-high 7 K, striking out nearly half his batters while facing just one batter over the minimum in 5.0 scoreless IP.

R: Giants defeated Royals 9-4

Leslie reached base three times for the rookie Giants.  The 19-year-old Australian has hit .348/.531/.435 through his first 23 pro AB.

In his third start, Flores allowed eight of his twelve batters to reach base.  Reyes and Knight each had 2 K while pitching perfect 5th and 8th innings.

DSL: Gigantes lost to Padres 9-8 (12 innings)

Rodriguez (20.10 y.o.) reached base six times, raising his OBP to .358.  Making his second start in fifteen appearances, Rodriguez (18.11 y.o.) had new season highs with with 4 BB and 3 R.
