Tuesday highlights from the Giants' farm: the starting pitchers--Eric Surkamp allowed just 1 R in 7.0 IP, Ryan Vogelsong and Taylor Rogers combined for a shutout, Kyle Crick had 11 K and 2 R in 5.0 IP, and Kendry Flores had 7.1 scoreless IP. Among hitters, Joseph Rapp homered among three hits.

Noonan's three singles paced the Grizzlies' thirteen-hit attack and raised his AVG to .302. Sanchez was one of two other Grizzlies with multiple hits. He has hit .309 in 68 AB in the PCL, whereas he hit just .231 in 39 AB in MLB this year.
Surkamp allowed a solo HR in the 2nd inning but otherwise did not allow a run in 7.0 IP. He threw 99 pitches (69 strikes).

Villalona and Duvall both homered in the 5th inning--Villalona with his 19th HR this year and Duvall with his 10th HR. Lollis hit his 18th and 19th doubles while reaching base three times.
Making his third rehab appearance, Vogelsong threw 64 pitches (42 strikes) in 5.0 scoreless IP. With 4.0 scoreless IP, Rogers finished the shutout for his first pro save. Ranaudo, whom the Red Sox drafted 39th overall three years ago, allowed just four hits, but all four went for extra bases and led to runs. After beginning the year quite impressively with 31 H, 15 BB and 58 K in 54.2 IP over his first ten starts, he has been less dominant with 49 H, 25 BB and 48 K in 55.0 IP over his subsequent nine starts.

Batting leadoff, Bond reached base four times. Blair reached base three times. Both Bond and Blair have AVGs below .260.
Crick had a season-high 11 K, striking out over half his twenty batters. Since coming off the DL, he has 24 H, 18 BB and 52 K in 36.0 IP over seven starts.

Flores faced just four batters over the minimum in 7.1 scoreless IP. With 0 ER in four of his last five starts, he has cut his ERA to 2.78.

The 19-year-old McCall was one four Volcanoes to reach base twice. With just three hits in his last eight games, his season line has slipped to .243/.352/.397 through 136 AB.
Johnson once again had a start with 6.0 scoreless IP (for the fifth time in ten starts), this time facing just one batter over the minimum through 6.0 IP, but then ended up allowing 2 ER when he pitched into the 7th inning for the first time this year and allowed hits to three of his four batters in that frame.

Javier's (17.9 y.o.) third straight multi-hit game improved his line to .235/.286/.331 through 166 AB. Loaisiga (18.8 y.o.) began his career with just 5 H and 9 K in 16.0 IP in his first three starts but has been more hittable in his subsequent six starts with 39 H and 20 K in 29.2 IP.
