Monday highlights from the Giants' farm: Angel Villalona, Ricky Oropesa and Chuckie Jones each homered in multi-hit performances. Also notable, Christian Arroyo had five hits over a doubleheader.

AAA: Fresno lost to Salt Lake 9-7

Fresno: SP Mitch Lively: 4.2 IP, 5 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 4 BB, 5 K--2 HR

Adrianza's three singles paced the Grizzlies' twelve-hit attack and raised his AVG above .300 (through ten PCL games). Kieschnick reached base four times, raising his OBP close to .340. Nelson, the former Rockies prospect now with the Angels, homered while reaching base three times.

Lively allowed just 2 R through 4.0 IP but then 4 R in the 5th inning.

AA: Richmond lost to Erie 5-1

Villalona hit his 3rd HR in his last seven games, which was also his 4th HR in 21 games since his promotion and his 18th HR overall this year. Panik also had two hits.

Westcott's start was abbreviated. He left a couple batters after being in the leg by a comebacker. Javier provided long relief, holding the Seawolves scoreless through the end of the 5th inning. Westcott and Javier each threw 38 pitches. Osich has found Eastern League hitters more formidable than Cal League hitters. After allowing just 11 ER in 40.1 IP in 34 Cal League appearances, he has allowed 10 ER in 8.0 IP in seven Eastern League appearances.

A+: San Jose defeated Stockton 10-5

San Jose: 1B Ricky Oropesa: 2 for 5, HR, 2B

San Jose: SP Jason Forjet: 3.2 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K

Oropesa hit his 4th HR and 8th double (since his demotion). Duffy, one of four other Giants with two hits, doubled twice in his Cal League debut.

Making just his second start in his last ten appearances, Forjet covered 3.2 IP while allowing just a single run.

A-: Augusta lost to Asheville 7-5 (11 innings)

Jones hit his 6th HR, 13th double and a single. After going hitless in his previous four starts, he raised his OPS back above .650. Brown also had three hits, which also edged his OPS just above .650.

Biagini matched season highs with 9 K and 7.0 IP. Mizenko struck out three of four hitters in the 10th inning.

ssA: Salem-Keizer lost to Tri-City 2-1

Salem-Keizer: RP Cameron McVey: 3.0 IP, 1 H, 2 K

Ortiz singled twice as the lone Volcano to reach base twice.

Johnson, the Giants' third rounder this year, allowed his first runs but still has a 0.00 ERA after three starts. McVey faced the minimum in 3.0 IP.

Jones hit his 2nd and 3rd HRs this year. Arroyo's three hits paced the rookie Giants' fourteen-hit attack and raised his AVG to .284.

Ysla allowed 2 ER in 3.0 IP, leading his ERA to crawl above 4.50.

Scottsdale: SP Carlos Diaz: 5.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K

Moreno doubled twice while reaching base three times. Arroyo also had two hits, including his 5th double, raising his AVG to an even .300.

Coming off a start with a season-high 7 K in a season-high 5.0 IP, Diaz backed that up with another 7 K in 5.0 IP. After 8 ER in his first two appearances, he has allowed just 2 ER over his last four starts.

DSL: Gigantes lost to Diamondbacks 5-3 (7 innings) in game 1

Dominican: LF Carlos Valdez: 2 for 3, HR, 2B
Dominican: SP Eber Guzman: 4.2 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 5 BB, 3 K

Valdez (19.1 y.o.) hit his 3rd HR. He has 7 XBH in 97 AB, propelling him to a .433 SLG. Guzman (20.3 y.o.) yielded a season-high 4 ER in his eighth start.

DSL: Gigantes defeated Diamondbacks 5-0 (7 innings) in game 2

Dominican: SS Marco Guzman: 2 for 3
Dominican: SP Reymi Rodriguez: 6.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 K--2 WP

Guzman (18.11 y.o.) singled twice, raising his AVG to .247 in his second DSL campaign. Rodriguez (18.10 y.o.) made his first start after nine relief appearances and faced just three batters over the minimum in 6.0 scoreless IP.
