Pill and Monell hit their 17th and 16th HRs while each reaching base three times. Poythress, whom the Mariners drafted in the second round four years ago, homered twice. He entered game having hit .249/.333/.406 through his 249 AB in the PCL.
Kickham allowed over half (12 of 22) his batters to reach base. Allowing 5+ ER for the third time in his last five PCL starts, his ERA rose to 5.12. Runzler, after allowing 5 ER over his last three appearances, struck out three of his four batters.

The Flying Squirrels' two middle infielders both reach base twice for an offense that managed just five hits (all singles) and four walks.
Rogers had his first quality start in nearly a month. Javier had 2 K in 1.1 perfect IP. Both pitchers have ERAs over 4.50.

Williamson and Oropesa both reach base three times. Williamson's three singles raised his AVG to .277. Since the Cal League's all-star break, he has hit .330/.402/.591 in 115 AB.
Blach delivered his seventh straight start with 2 R or less. He did issue two walks after having issued just one walk over his last four starts. Marlowe pitched a perfect 7th, 8th and 9th inning. His WHIP remains above 1.50.

Lujan had his second straight start with 1 R in 7.0 IP, bringing his ERA below 3.00. Okert struck out three of his four batters in the 8th inning, and Mizenko pitched a perfect 9th inning for his 22nd save.
