Pill had an RBI single in the 1st inning. Kieschnick also had a single. The Pirates' Sanchez, the fourth overall draft pick four years ago, hit a decisive three-run HR in the 2nd inning.
AA: Richmond defeated Binghamton 6-5

Duvall and Lollis hit their 9th and 4th HRs. The Mets' Puello, enjoying a breakout season with an OPS above .950, hit his 16th HR while reaching base three times.
Westcott allowed 4+ ER for the fourth time in his last six starts, although his ERA remains below 4.00.

Williamson was the game's lone hitter with two hits, raising his AVG to .272.
Crick had 5.0 no-hit IP. But he threw 80 pitches, with barely half (43) for strikes. He had his second straight start with 5 BB. He was matched by the Rockies' Butler, who like Crick pitched in the Futures Game on Sunday, as both pitchers had 5.0 scoreless IP.

Turner had three hits, including his 17th double, raising his AVG above .250. Cain hit his 5th and 6th triples. He has a solid 10% XBH/AB ratio.
Flores struck out 10 of his 25 batters but allowed 2 ER in both the 2nd and 6th innings to come up shy of a quality start. His ERA rose to 3.15.

Horan was one of three Volcanoes with two hits.
After two NWL starts, Johnson has 3 H, 2 BB, 0 R, and 8 K in 9.0 IP. Montero stranded two inherited runners and had 1.1 perfect IP for his 6th save.
