Wednesday highlights from the Giants' farm: Javier Herrera homered and walked in the Eastern League all-star game, and Kendry Flores allowed just 1 R in 7.0 IP.

Brown and Perez each had two of the Grizzlies' eights hits. Brown's 24th double was the Grizzlies' lone XBH. Jurica reached base three times. After hitting .360 in April, his season AVG has regressed to .260. Davidson, one of the Diamondbacks' top prospects, hit his 13th HR while reaching base three times. In his first PCL season, he has hit .291/.350/.496 through 337 AB.
Heston allowed 4+ ER for the fourth time in his last five starts. Hembree struck out two of his four batters in a scoreless 9th inning.
AA: Richmond had the second day of their two-day all-star break

Herrera hit a 3-run HR in the 1st inning and later walked. He played the entire game. Minicozzi, the Giants' other representative in the starting lineup, did not reach base in his three plate appearances. Panik, the Giants' third position player on all-star team, walked in his lone plate appearance.
The Giants were represented also by two relief pitchers. Quirarte pitched a scoreless 7th inning, and McCormick a perfect 8th inning.

Williamson hit his 16th HR, including his 4th HR in his last nine games. Harris reached base three times. His OBP is just .319, although his SLG remains above .500.
Mejia allowed more than 3 ER for the second time in nine start. All 4 ER came in the 3rd inning. With 6+ K in three of his last four starts, he does have more strikeouts than hits (41 K and 38 H in 45.2 IP).

Robles both reached base three times, improving his OBP to .356 after 64 AB.
Flores faced just four batters over the minimum in 7.0 IP, but his error in the 3rd inning led to the game's only run.

With a career-high 11 K and his fourth straight start without a walk, Johnson raised his K/BB to 12.00 (36 K and 3 BB in 34.0 IP).

Jones hit his 3rd double and a single. With two hits in three of his five pro games, he has a .438 AVG after 16 AB. Mercedes hit his 1st HR in the U.S. Cavan, playing his fourth rehab game, reached base three times.
Mella had another strong start. In his last three starts, the 19-year-old has 8 H, 3 BB and 19 K in 14.0 IP.
