Sunday highlight from the Giants' farm: Mac Williamson homered while reaching base three times. Also notable, Craig Westcott allowed just 1 R in 5.0 IP.

AAA: Fresno lost to Salt Lake 6-4

Fresno: CF Gary Brown: 2 for 3, 2B, 2 HBP
Fresno: DH Johnny Monell: 2 for 5, 2B

Fresno: SP Mike Kickham: 6.0 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 BB, 2 K--1 HR

Brown reach base four times with his 15th double, a single and twice being hit by pitch. Still, his OBP remains below .280 through 60 games. Monell also had two hits, including his 10th double.

Making his second start since his MLB debut, Kickham delivered a quality start despite striking out just two batters. The 4 BB was the most issued over his last nine starts.

AA: Richmond lost to Trenton 3-2
(allowing the tying run in the 7th inning and the go-ahead run in the 9th inning)

Oropesa led off the 6th inning with his 5th HR. Krill was one of two Flying Squirrels with two hits, raising his AVG to .282. Austin, one of the Yankees' top five prospects, had three hits, including his 12th and 13th doubles. He has hit .270/.365/.409 through 215 AB, which is markedly off his .322/.400/.559 production a year ago.

Westcott had a solid start. Allowing just 1 R, he improved his ERA to 3.71. Not particularly efficient with his pitch count (92 pitches, 53 strikes), he completed just 5.0 IP.

A+: San Jose defeated Lancaster 5-3

Williamson had a big game with his 9th HR, a single and a walk. His eight-game hitting streak has improved his season line to .255/.333/.442 through 231 AB.

Making his second rehab appearance, Surkamp retired six of eight batters. Although he allowed more than a third (7 of 19) his batters to reach base, Forjet kept the damage to just 2 R. His ERA remains below 2.50. Bandilla had 2 K in a perfect 8th inning. He now has 57 K in 34.0 IP.

DSL: Gigantes lost to Orioles1 4-0

Dominican: LF Carlos Valdez: 1 for 3, BB
Dominican: RP Clarence Richardson: 3.1 IP, 1 H, 7 K

Valdez (18.11 y.o.) was the lone Gigante to reach base twice. Making his second pro appearance, Richardson (19.0 y.o.) had 7 K while facing just one batter over the minimum in 3.1 IP.
