Saturday highlights from the Giants' farm: Ty Blach had 7.0 scoreless IP, and Javier Herrera homered twice.

AAA: Fresno lost to Salt Lake 9-1

Kieschnick led off the 2nd inning with his 10th HR, scoring the Grizzlies' only run. With multi-hit lines, Sanchez and Jurica combined for five of the Grizzlies' nine hits, raising their AVGs to .289 and .292.

Making his second start, Castillo allowed 2 ER in the 1st inning and 4 ER in the 3rd inning.

AA: Richmond defeated Trenton 3-2 (7 innings) in game 1

The Flying Squirrels scored all three runs on solo HRs. Herrera led off the 3rd inning with his 8th HR. Later in the 3rd inning, Panik hit his 2nd HR. In the 6th inning, Duvall hit his 6th HR. Murphy, whom Baseball America ranked as the Yankees' #15 prospect, hit one of two solo HRs for the Thunder.

Making his sixth start in eleven appearances, Rogers allowed a couple solo HRs--the first HRs he has allowed this year.

Herrera hit his 9th HR and 16th double while reaching base in all four plate appearances. Susac hit his 7th HR. Herrera and Susac each had 3 RBIs.

Gloor started the season with 17 ER in 22.2 IP over his first five starts but has since had six straight quality starts. His ERA is now below 4.00.

Lofton and Haney each had three of the Giants' thirteen hits, raising their AVGs to .262 and .260.

Blach faced just two batters over the minimum in 7.0 scoreless IP. His component stats are now 64 H, 6 BB and 57 K in 66.2 IP.

Delfino hit his 8th HR, including his 3rd HR in his last five games. Brown reached base three times, but his OBP remains below .300.

Schumer allowed a season-high 9 H. His BAA rose to .313, and his ERA to 7.22. Johnson had 2 K in a perfect 9th inning.

DSL: Gigantes lost to White Sox 5-3

Dominican: RP Eusebio Encarnacion: 4.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 K

Astacio (19.8 y.o.), who is playing in his third DSL season, had both of the Gigantes' hits. Encarnacion (18.10 y.o.) had his second relief appearance of 4.0+ IP.
