Peguero hit his 6th double while reaching base three times and improving his OBP to .371. Tanaka also had two hits, raising his AVG to .313. Monell led off the 5th inning with his 10th HR. Nieuwenhuis, who spent nearly all of last year in the majors with the Mets, hit his 9th and 10th HRs, raising his SLG above .500 as he strives to return to the majors.
Bonser's twelfth start may have been his best yet with just 1 ER in 6.1 IP, improving his ERA to 5.40.

Hitting in the bottom two spots in the lineup, Lollis and Herrera contributed most of the Flying Squirrels' offense. Herrera hit his 7th HR, and Lollis his 11th and 12th doubles, while the other seven hitters combined for just a single and three walks.
Westcott allowed 2 R in both the 1st and 2nd innings but finished with five scoreless frames. His ERA remains below 4.00. Schuman had 3 K in 2.0 perfect IP--just the second time in eight appearances he has not issued at least one walk.

With two singles, the minor league veteran Stromsmoe was the lone Giant to reach base twice.
After allowing just 5 ER over his first three starts combined, Marte has allowed 4 ER in each of his subsequent two starts, raising his season ERA to 3.79. Dunnington struck out four of his seven batters in his fourth appearance this year.

Making his first start in nearly six weeks, Gregorio delivered 6.0 scoreless IP. He has been highly effective as evidenced by his stats: 18 H, 3 BB, 3 ER and 33 K in 25.0 IP.
