Wednesday highlight from the Giants' farm: Jeremy Sy homered among three hits.

AAA: Fresno lost to Reno 11-5

Brown and Linden each had two of the Grizzlies' eleven hits. Gillespie, while playing out of his natural position defensively, hit his 7th HR. Owings, one of the Diamondbacks' top ten prospects, had four hits. In his first PCL season, he has has OPS above .850. Jacobs had a big game for the second straight night, this time homering while reaching base four times.

Castillo came up shy of a quality start, although he did better than his relievers. Skaggs, perhaps one of the top 25 prospects in the minors, had his third straight PCL start with just 1 ER.

AA: Richmond defeated Binghamton 3-2 (8 innings) in game 1

Adrianza had two of the Flying Squirrels' seven hits (all singles), raising his AVG to .232. Minicozzi reached base three times.

Teller had an odd line for a starter. Despite not allowing a hit or a run, his start lasted just two innings as he threw 56 pitches (27 strikes) while issuing 5 BB. He has had 5+ BB in four of his last five starts. McCormick worked a perfect 5th inning.

With his 10th double and a walk, Adrianza was the lone Squirrel to reach base twice. The Mets' Puello reached base in all four plate appearances. The 22-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season, hitting .338/.419/.613 through 204 AB.

With 6 ER in each of his last two starts, Rogers' ERA has risen to 6.65.

ssA: Salem-Keizer lost to Boise 5-1

Salem-Keizer: SP Chris Johnson: 6.0 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 2 K--2 WP

Sy, whom the Giants drafted in the 12th round a year ago, had all three of the Volcanoes' hits, including his 1st pro HR. Through his first six games, he has a .450 AVG but has also committed 4 errors.

Johnson has pitched six innings in each of his first two starts and kept his WHIP below 1.00.

Dominican: SP Raffi Vizcaino: 5.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K--1 HB

Gomez (20.6 y.o.) hit his 2nd pro HR. Vizcaino (17.6 y.o.) has allowed 2 ER or less in each of his first four starts.
