Monday highlight from the Giants' farm: Johnny Monell doubled twice among three hits.

(after allowing five runs in the 9th inning to tie)

Pill's four singles paced the Grizzlies' thirteen-hit attack. Monell added three more hits, including his 12th and 13th doubles. With 13 H, including 7 XBH, over his last six games, Monell has improved his season line to .305/.373/.584 through 190 AB. Brown hit his 8th HR.

Lively has allowed just 1 R in 5.0 IP in three of his six starts but still has an ERA above 7.00 this year. After Runzler pitched a perfect 8th inning, Hembree retired just one of his six batters in the 9th inning. He has allowed multiple runs in four of his last ten appearances.

While all nine Volcanoes in the lineup had at least one hit, Hollick and Sy each had three hits. Hollick is hitting over .500 through the first four games. Sy got his first two pro XBH.

Kurrasch, who had six relief appearances last summer, allowed nine baserunners but just a couple runs in his season debut.

Dominican: SP Jonathan Loaisiga: 6.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 4 K

Mora (20.5 y.o.) hit three XBH, doubling his season hit total. Loaisiga (18.7 y.o.) faced just two batters over the minimum in 6.0 IP in his third start pro start.
