Tuesday's most notable lines from the Giants' farm: Ty Blach allowed 1 R in 5.0 IP.

AAA: Fresno lost to Nashville 5-2
(after being tied 2-2 entering the 7th inning)

Fresno: 2B Kensuke Tanaka: 1 for 3, 2B, BB, 2 SO, SB

Fresno: SP Michael Kickham: 6.2 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 7 K--1 E

The lone Grizzly to reach base twice, Tanaka had one of the Grizzlies' three hits with his 7th double and one of their four walks. He also had his 7th SB.

Kickham allowed 2 R in both the 3rd and 7th innings. He had his third straight start with 7+ K, as well as a 10/3 GO/FO line in this start, but still saw his W-L record drop to 0-4.

AA: Richmond hosting Bowie postponed by rain (for the second straight day)
(A makeup doubleheader is scheduled for July 19.)

Batting leadoff, Lofton had his 3rd and 4th doubles. He had had just 4 XBH previously this year (in 73 AB). Williamson and Blair, the other two Giants with two hits each, each had their 6th double. Schroder connected for his 3rd HR.

Making his 6th start, Blach had a career-high 6 K. With just 7 ER allowed, he has a 1.87 ERA and 4-1 W-L record. Hall and Bandilla combined for 3 K in 3.0 perfect IP in relief.
