Sunday highlights from the Giants' farm: Francisco Peguero homered and singled, four Richmond hitters combined for a two-hit shutout, and three Augusta hitters each homered while reaching base at least three times.

AAA: Fresno defeated New Orleans 4-2

Fresno: LF Francisco Peguero: 2 for 4, HR, SO, SB
Fresno: RF Roger Kieschnick: 2 for 4, 3B, SO

Fresno: SP Boof Bonser: 7.0 IP, 8 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K
Fresno: RP Ramon Ramirez: 1.0 IP, 1 K
New Orleans: SP Jacob Turner: 7.0 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 5 K

The Grizzlies had four hitters with two hits each, but the Grizzlies' only XBHs were Peguero's 3rd HR and Kieschnick's 6th triple. After Brett Pill, Kieschnick and Peguero have the highest two SLGs on the team at .578 and .549, respectively.

Bonser's ninth start was his longest of the season and perhaps his best. With just 2 R in 7.0 IP, he got his ERA back below 5.00. Ramirez pitched a perfect 8th inning, getting his ERA below 4.00. The Marlins' Turner matched his longest start of the year, as like Bonser he allowed 2 ER in 7.0 IP. The nearly 22-year-old's component stats are solid but not particularly impressive with 53 H, 12 BB and 31 K in 50.1 IP.

Richmond: 2B Joe Panik: 2 for 3, 2B, BB, SB
Richmond: 3B Mark Minicozzi: 1 for 4, HR, SO
Richmond: SS Ehire Adrianza: 1 for 2, 2 BB, SO

Richmond: SP Jack Snodgrass: 4.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K
Richmond: RP Fabio Castillo: 3.0 IP, 5 K
Richmond: RP Phil McCormick: 1.0 IP, 1 K
Richmond: RP Daryl Maday: 1.0 IP, 1 K
Altoona: SP Jameson Taillon: 6.0 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 10 K--1 HR, 1 WP

The Flying Squirrels' two middle infielders, Panik and Adrianza, both reached base three times. Both have OBPs over .350. Minicozzi led off the 6th inning with his 2nd HR.

Snodgrass was followed by three relievers who combined for 7 K in 5.0 perfect IP. With them, he combined for the two-hit shutout, facing just two batters over the minimum. The Pirates' Taillon, one of the top fifteen prospects in the minors, has now made four of his nine starts this year against the Squirrels. Today, he matched a season-high with 10 K but also set a new season high with 9 H. His component stats are now 48 H, 19 BB and 57 K in 48.0 IP.

San Jose: CF Elliott Blair: 2 for 4, 2 SO

San Jose: SP Edwin Escobar: 6.0 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 4 K--1 E

Blair was the lone Giant with two hits, raising his AVG above .225.

Making his eighth start, Escobar pitched through six full innings for just the second time. His ERA crept above 3.50.

A-: Augusta lost to Savannah 12-10
(despite leading 6-1 entering the 4th inning)

Augusta: 3B Mitchell Delfino: 3 for 5, HR, 2B

Three GreenJackets went deep three times as part of their 17-hit attack, including Delfino's 4th HR, Jones' 2nd HR and Cain's 1st HR.

Making his eighth start, Agosta had a season-high 4 ER and a season-high 5 BB in a season-low 3.1 IP. While his ERA remains below 3.00, his BB/IP is nearly 0.50.
