Fresno: RP Heath Hembree: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 K--1 HR
Kieschnick had his 4th HR and 2nd triple, helping to keep his OPS above 1.000. He has hit .368/.380/.706 through his first 68 AB. A year ago he hit .306/.376/.604 in his PCL debut that was limited to 222 AB due to injury. Gillespie had three hits, including his 5th double, to raise his AVG above .250.
Kickham yielded 6 R, all in the 4th inning. Four of the runs scored on a grand slam by the opposing starting pitcher. With 5 ER in each of his last two starts, his ERA is now above 7.00. Making his eighth appearance, Hembree allowed his 1st HR this year.
AA: Richmond defeated Altoona 10-6

After allowing 4 ER in both of his first two starts, Gloor allowed 5 ER in his third start. With 16 H in 13.2 IP, opposing hitters are hitting nearly .300 against him. In his previous start, the Pirates' Taillon had 7.0 scoreless IP against the Flying Squirrels, but they came back this time with 5 ER, scoring three times in the 1st inning and twice in the 4th inning.
