Sunday highlights from the Giants' farm: Joe Biagini had 6.0 scoreless IP, and Jarrett Parker homered and singled.

Fresno: SP Shane Loux: 4.2 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 0 K--2 HR, 1 HB, 1 WP
Fresno: RP Brett Bochy: 1.0 IP, 2 K
Tucson: SP Tim Stauffer: 5.0 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K
Pill had his 1st triple while reaching base four times. With multiple hits in three of his last four games, he has an OPS over 1.000 through 52 AB.
Making his second start, Loux allowed 2 ER in both the 2nd and 5th innings. Bochy struck out two of his four batters in a scoreless 9th inning. Stauffer, who made 31 starts in the majors two years ago but just one start last year, had a solid start as he tries to get back to the majors in the Padres organization.
AA: Richmond defeated Reading 4-3
Richmond: SS Joe Panik: 2 for 4, 2B, SO
Richmond: RF Jarrett Parker: 2 for 4, HR, SO
Richmond: SP Jack Snodgrass: 6.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 3 K--1 IBB
Parker and Panik combined for four of the Flying Squirrels' seven hits, including Parker's 2nd HR and Panik's 4th double. While Parker's AVG is still below the Mendoza line, Panik has recently raised his AVG to nearly .270.
Snograss has allowed 1 ER or less while going at least 6.0 IP in three of his four starts. Today he needed just 84 pitches (47 strikes) in six innings.
A+: San Jose defeated Inland Empire 8-3
San Jose: SS Kelby Tomlinson: 4 for 5, 2B, SO, E
San Jose: C Eliezer Zambrano: 2 for 4, 2B, BB
San Jose: SP Adalberto Mejia: 5.2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 2 K--1 HR
San Jose: RP Luis Rojas: 1.1 IP, 2 K
With four hits, including his 2nd double, Tomlinson raised his AVG to .324. Zambrano was one of three other hitters who reached base three times each for the Giants.
With 5.2 IP, Mejia had his longest start of the year. All three runs allowed came in the 3rd inning, and he had a 7/8 GO/FO line. Rojas had 2 K in 1.1 perfect IP. He has had multiple strikeouts in six of seven appearances this year.
A-: Augusta defeated Kannapolis 1-0 (7 innings) in game 1
Augusta: DH Mitchell Delfino: 1 for 2, BB, SB
Augusta: SP Joe Biagini: 6.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 7 K--1 PO
Delfino was the lone GreenJacket to reach base twice. He walked in the 6th inning prior to scoring the game's lone run.
Biagini faced just two batters over the minimum in 6.0 scoreless IP. This was his best start of the year as 6.0 IP and 7 K were new season highs (in three starts), and this was also his first start without a walk.
A-: Augusta lost to Kannapolis 8-2 (7 innings) in game 2
Augusta: RF Chuckie Jones: 2 for 2, 2 2B, BB
Augusta: SP Jose Reyes: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 BB, 1 K
Augusta: RP Brandon Farley: 2.2 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 K--2 HB
Jones had just his 2nd and 3rd XBH of the year. He was the lone GreenJacket to reach base twice. Through fifteen games, both his OBP and SLG remain below .250.
Reyes and Farley, the first of four GreenJackets relievers, combined to retire only half of their 20 batters. Reyes has 9 BB in 9.1 IP over three starts. Last summer he had 18 BB in 47.2 IP in the AZL. With at least one hit allowed in each of his seven relief apperances, Farley has a BAA over .300. While both pitchers got the opportunity to jump from the AZL to the SAL, they will need to decrease the number of baserunners they are allowing to continue to advance within the organization.
