Monday highlights from the Giants' farm: Angel Villalona homered twice, Brett Pill homered among three hits, and Jack Snodgrass had 7.0 scoreless IP.

(scoring nine runs over the last three innings)

Perez had a quarter of the Grizzlies' sixteen hits with his 1st triple, 2nd double and a pair of singles. Also with 2 XBH each were Pill and Brown. Pill had his 2nd HR and 4th double, while Brown had his 2nd triple and 2nd double.

With the wind blowing out to CF at 22 mph at game time, Heston allowed hits to more than half the batters he faced. He pitched just three innings, throwing 65 pitches (38 strikes). By contrast, Dunning, the first of five Grizzlies relievers, faced just one batter over the minimum in 3.0 scoreless IP.

AA: Richmond defeated Altoona 6-5

Richmond: SS Ehire Adrianza: 1 for 2, 2 BB
Richmond: LF Javier Herrera: 3 for 4, 2B

Richmond: SP Jack Snodgrass: 7.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K

Herrera had three of the Flying Squirrels' six hits. His 2-RBI double in the 3rd inning scored the game's only runs. Adrianza reached base three times, lifting his OBP above .350.

Snodgrass has been dominant in two of his three starts this year. After not allowing a hit in his first start, tonight he faced just two batters over the minimum in 7.0 scoreless IP. He threw 91 pitches (60 strikes).

A+: San Jose defeated Stockton 12-6
(after leading 9-6 enter the 4th inning)

San Jose: SP Adalberto Mejia: 3.2 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 3 BB, 2 K--1 HR
San Jose: RP Hunter Strickland: 1.0 IP, 1 K

After just two hits in his first two games, Villalona has two hits in each of his last two games, including 3 HRs. Williamson was one of three other Giants to reach base at least three times.

Making his second start, Mejia allowed over half (10 of 19) his batters to reach base. Strickland pitched a perfect 9th inning.

Playing in just his third pro game, Cain doubled and singled. Batting leadoff, Galindo reached base three times, raising his OBP to .333. He had previously walked just twice this year.

Reyes' second start with just 1 ER in 5.0 IP appears stronger than his first start with 4 ER in 3.0 IP.
