Jurica and Williams, while playing the two most difficult defensive positions, reached base three times each for the Grizzlies. They also had their first XBHs this year.
Petit allowed eight hits, but the only run came on a solo HR as he stranded all other runners. Efficient with his pitch count, he threw just 83 pitches (58 strikes) in 6.0 IP. Hembree pitched a scoreless 9th inning for his 2nd save. Wheeler, the former Giants' top prospect now with the Mets, allowed just one earned run but took the loss with three unearned runs.

Parker reached base three times. After going hitless in his first three games, his last two games have raised his OBP to .389. Duvall, one of three Flying Squirrels with two hits each, had his 4th double.
Westcott allowed just one run--the lone run he has allowed through two starts. He threw 79 pitches (53 strikes).

Zambrano and Blair both had solo big flies. A year ago they combined for just 4 HRs.

Turner and Relaford both reached base twice for the GreenJackets. After hitting just 2 for 12 in his previous four games, Relaford raised his AVG to .250.
Making his full season debut, Reyes allowed 4 ER, including at least one run in each inning. McVay provided effective long relief, facing just one batter over the minimum in 3.0 scoreless IP.
