Very Important Theatre, Vol XXIV: Buster Posey v. Mat Latos

I might find a new video for every overnight/overflow thread for the offseason ... or I might use this one over and over and over and over.

Don't think I'd find a lot of complainers with that last option.

At some point, bringing up 2012 as a default response to every bad thing that happens to the Giants isn't going to be as effective. If the Giants are just starting a decades-long stretch of misery, it's not going to make 20-year-olds in 2033 feel better when you say "2012! 2012!"

But this highlight ... this one, man. Doesn't get old. I just watched it six times. The audio is perfect. Rarely do you hear cheering to groaning presented that effectively.

Then there's the sad Mat Latos trudge.

Really, when it was Game 5 of the NLCS and the Giants' last hope was Barry Zito, all I could think was, "Well, there was a perfect game, a NL West title against the Dodgers, and an MVP season. Oh, also, we saw Mat Latos crushed and driven before us, and we read the lamentations of his wife on Twitter. That's a pretty good season."

This moment. I have a lot of favorite moments from last year. This one, though. And to think, the Mat Latos Tear Globe wasn't as popular of an idea with the Giants' front office. We'll have to get a Kickstarter going for that idea ...
