Batting cleanup today, the Giants' Susac had his first oh-fer in ten AFL games. The Giants' Villalona also failed to reach base today. He now has nearly twice as many strikeouts as hits (8 H and 15 SO in 34 AB). The Mets' Vaughn, the son of Greg Vaughn who grew up in the Sacramento area, hit his 3rd triple. That triple and his walk accounted for two of the Scorpions' five baserunners. The Mariners' Taylor doubled twice.
