Linden and Ciriaco were two of the three Grizzlies with two hits each. The 32-year-old Linden has hit .282/.366/.452 this year.
Stevenson had one of his best starts of the year, facing just two batters over the minimum in 5.0 scoreless IP. He was removed from the game after just 64 pitches (44 strikes). Edlefsen struck out all three of his batters, but his K/BB remains below 2.00.

Brown had hit just 8 for 42 (.190 AVG) through his first eleven games in August after hitting .355 in July, but he had three hits tonight. Minicozzi also reached base three times, with his two hits lifting his AVG above .300.
Gloor had a quality start for the fifth time in his last eight starts. His ERA over all ten starts is just below 2.00. Maday had 3.0 scoreless IP for his 10th save.

Duvall and Burkhart each had two hits, while the rest of the Giants' lineup combined for just two hits.
Allowing hits to more than a third (9 of 24) of his batters, Snodgrass came up shy of a quality start. In eleven starts since the all-star break, he more than twice as many hits as strikeouts (74 H and 34 K in 57.0 IP).

Gregorio began the game with 5.0 scoreless IP but then did not retire any of his three batters in the 6th inning. He left the game with the bases loaded, and two of those runners subsequently scored.

Houck had his 3rd HR while reaching base three times. In the 2nd inning, Jones connected for his 6th HR--a grand slam that helped give the rookie Giants an 8-1 lead entering the bottom of the 2nd inning.
Based on the stats, it may not be accurate to say Mota was hit hard, but he was certainly hit frequently as six of ten batters hit safely against him. Leenhouts had his second straight appearance with 8 K. He has 27 K in 15.2 IP over his last four appearances.
