Fresno: 2B Juan Ciriaco: 2 for 3, SO

Fresno: SP Andrew Kown: 6.0 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 1 K--1 BK

With two singles, Ciriaco was the Grizzlies' lone hitter to reach base twice.

Thomas's 5th HR scored both of the GreenJackets' runs. Staley had his 2nd triple and 9th double.

Escobar had his sixth straight start with at least 6 K. The consistently good strikeout rates have not necessarily translated to consistently good results on the scoreboard as twice he has allowed 4 ER in two of those six starts.

Salem-Keizer: 1B Joseph Rapp: 1 for 4, HR, BB, 2 SO

Salem-Keizer: SP Raymundo Montero: 4.0 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 3 K

Rapp hit his team-leading 6th HR. The rest of the team has just 11 HRs and just two players with multiple HRs. Branca's three singles raised his AVG above .290.

Montero allowed a season-high 5 R on a season-high 8 H. After allowing just 19 H in his first four starts, he has allowed 26 H in his last four starts.

Dominican: SP Keury Mella: 4.2 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 8 K--1 WP

Astacio (18.9 y.o.) had his 8th and 9th doubles, although his OPS remains below .700. Mella had 8 K but allowed hits to half (6 of 12) of the batters he did not strike out. This snapped a string of five straight starts with 1 R or less.
