Petit had his third straight start with 0 ER, lowering his season ERA to 3.21. Kontos pitched a perfect 8th inning. In his last ten games, he has 5 H, 4 BB, 1 R and 15 K in 15.0 IP. The ex-Giant Hawkins now with the Angels pitched a perfect 7th inning in his second rehab appearance.

Cavan's 3rd HR was one of just two hits for the Flying Squirrels. Bocock, the ex-Giant now with the Blue Jays, was one of just two hitters to reach base twice.
Westcott had his best and longest start of the year. He had a season-high 8.0 IP, while throwing just 94 pitches (56 strikes). Making his first start without allowing an earned run, he improved his ERA to 3.64. Vessella finished the shutout with a perfect 9th inning. Carreno, who began the year in the majors, combined with one reliever to face just one batter over the minimum yet quite remarkably took the loss.
A+: San Jose lost to Lancaster 10-6

Parker had four hits while reaching base in all five plate appearances. He has had at least three hits in four of his last ten games, raising his season AVG to .250. Jurica reached base three times, raising his OBP above .320.
Bradley had one of his least effective starts of the year, but his ERA remains below 3.75. At game time, the wind was blowing out to RF at 40 mph. Harrold's struggles returned, with tonight's performance raising his BAA back above .300.

Blackburn had the longest, if not the best, start of his career. Over his last three starts, his stats are 11 H, 2 BB, 1 R and 21 K in 22.1 IP.

Batting leadoff, Parra (17.10 y.o.) reached base four times. After just one XBH last year, he had two XBH today. Guzman (19.1 y.o.) had a solid start in his pro debut.
