Monday highlight from the Giants' farm: Andrew Susac homered and singled.

AAA: Fresno lost to Salt Lake 9-0

Fresno: DH Todd Linden: 2 for 3

Fresno: SP Shawn Sanford: 4.0 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 2 K--1 HR

Linden had two of the Grizzlies' five hits, raising his AVG to .267.

Sanford has taken the loss in all three of his PCL starts. Tonight he allowed just 1 ER through the first three innings but then 3 ER in the 4th inning. At least his PCL ERA is just 4.50 while, by contrast, the two relievers who followed him have ERAs above 10.00.

AA: Richmond had an off-day
(their first of three straight scheduled Monday off-days)

A+: San Jose lost to Stockton 4-3

San Jose: C Andrew Susac: 2 for 4, HR, SO

San Jose: SP Danny Sandbrink: 4.0 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 3 K--2 WP

Susac was the lone Giant to reach base twice. He led off the 4th inning with his 3rd HR.

After fifteen relief appearances last year and seven this year, Sandbrink made his first pro start. After allowing a couple runs in the 1st inning, he allowed just one more run in his next three innings.

A-: Augusta had an off-day
(the last of their four off-days before their all-star break June 18-20)

DSL: Giants lost to Yankees1 3-2

Dominican: CF Nicoll Parra: 1 for 3, BB, 2 SO, 2 SB
Dominican: SP Juan Nova: 4.0 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 4 BB, 5 K--1 WP, 1 E

Parra (17.10 y.o.) was one of just two Gigantes to reach base twice. Nova (20.7 y.o.) made his season debut in his third DSL season. He made just two appearances (both starts) last year after a dozen starts the year before.
