Chuckie Jones, who began the season with a .324 OPS in 86 AB in the Sally League, had a big game with a HR, double and walk. Ryan Jones, playing his fourth pro game, also reached base three times. Like Chuckie Jones, Metzger also had two of the Volcanoes' seven hits. Metzger's AVG is above .500 through four games.

Flores, who had an ERA just above 5.00 last year for the Volcanoes, had a strong season debut, allowing just an unearned run.
