The Grizzlies scored all four runs on a pair of HRs. Peguero's 5th HR was a solo HR in the 5th inning, and Gillaspie's 8th HR was a pinch-hit, two-out, three-run HR in the 8th inning. Peguero's third straight multi-hit game improved his season line to .245/.279/.392 through 265 AB. Calhoun, who made his MLB debut for the Angels earlier this year, drove in both of the Bees' runs.
Stevenson had perhaps his best start of the year. After nine starts for Richmond, the 1 R and 6.0 IP were Stevenson's best marks in his five PCL starts. Hembree pitched a scoreless 9th inning for his 12th save.

Drawing both of the Flying Squirrels' two walks, Liles reached base three times. In limited playing time, he has hit .276/.364/.310 through 87 AB.
Reichard had his second straight quality start. He has pitched effectively in his three June starts with 10 H, 4 BB and 13 K in 15.0 IP.

Davis made his third start among eighteen appearances. He had had one start in each month of the season. Law, the second of three GreenJacket relievers, struck out nearly half of his twelve batters.

Nicholson, a late-round pick by the Giants a year ago, reached base three times. He had a .738 OPS in the AZL last summer.
Montero, who had a few relief appearances in both the AZL and NWL last summer, had a solid start in his season debut. Bucardo had 2.0 perfect IP in his first minor league game since late in the 2010 season.
