Pill has had two hits in both games since being optioned to the minors. Christian had his 7th HR. Lind, whom the Blues Jays optioned to the minors a few weeks ago after he had a sub-.600 OPS through 118 AB to begin the season had four hits. Since being optioned to the minors, he has hit .405/.465/.583 through 84 AB.
Sanford made his fourth PCL start. The box score suggests he was too hittable with 7 H and 0 K, but he did pitch five complete innings after having just 4.0 IP in each of his previous two starts.

Over his last ten starts, he has an ERA below 3.00 but also an inverted K/BB ratio with 23 BB and 21 K in 61.0 IP. Bochy struck out four of his six batters. Fleet pitched a perfect 9th inning for his 3rd save.

For the fourth time in eight starts, Biagnini pitched less than three innings. He has had at least 4 BB in five of his eight starts, giving him a BB/IP of 0.85. Law, the first of three GreenJacket relievers, struck out 7 of his 13 batters. On the season his K/IP is just shy of 1.00.
