No real highlights from the Giants' farm on Wednesday, although Mark Minicozzi did reach base in all four plate appearances.

AAA: Fresno lost to Sacramento 3-1

With two of the Grizzlies' six hits (all singles), Christian was the lone Grizzly to reach base twice. He edged his AVG up to .368. The Athletics' Sogard had two of the RiverCats' four hits. He has 7 H in 17 AB (.412 AVG) since being optioned to the minors.

Making his second PCL start, Sanford began the game with four scoreless frames but did not retire any of the five batters he faced in the 5th inning. Hembree pitched a perfect 8th inning with 2 K.

AA: Richmond defeated Altoona 5-4

Cavan's 1st triple and 7th double were two of the GreenJackets' five hits. He had 3 RBIs while raising his SLG to .333. Perez had his 4th HR. Top prospect Brown had his third straight game without a hit.

Westcott allowed 3 ER in the 1st inning but just 1 ER thereafter. He threw 105 pitches (62 strikes). Bochy struck out three of his six batters. Martis, the ex-Giant farmhand now in the Pirates organization, allowed a season-high 5 ER.

A+: San Jose lost to Bakersfield 7-5

San Jose: 3B Adam Duvall: 2 for 4
San Jose: C Andrew Susac: 1 for 4, HR

San Jose: SP Hector Correa: 2.2 IP, 1 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 5 BB, 5 K--1 HB, 1 WP

Susac connected for his 2nd HR--a grand slam in the 4th inning. Duvall had two of the Giants' five hits, raising his AVG to .278.

Correa issued free passes to nearly half of his batters (6 of 13) while throwing well under half of his pitches (26 of 58 for strikes).

Minicozzi reached base in all four plate appearances, getting his OBP just above .300 through 48 AB. Buechele also had two hits, including his 1st pro triple.

Marlowe issued a season-high 5 BB and matched a season high with 5 ER. His BB/IP remains above 0.50. Mejia, who allowed two of the three runners inherited from Marlowe to score, had his longest relief appearance of the year going 3.1 IP as the lone pitcher to appear in relief.
