Noonan had four hits, raising his AVG to .344. Gillaspie, who has had multiple hits in seven of his last eight starts, and Bond, who also walked twice to reach base in all five plate appearances, added three hits each as they combined with Noonan for 10 of the Grizzlies' 15 hits.
Burres had his second straight start allowing 5+ ER. With three such starts, this year, he has an ERA above 5.50. That said, he was barely outpitched by Richards, the Angels' top pitching prospect, who had his least effective start of the year. Loux provided effective long relief, facing just one batter over the minimum in 3.0 scoreless IP. With just 1 ER allowed in nine appearances, he has a 0.55 ERA. Hembree pitched a perfect 9th inning for his 6th save. He also had a couple strikeouts after having just 2 K over his previous seven appearances.

Richmond: RP Andy Reichard: 3.2 IP, 2 H, 1 BB

Brown's two singles accounted for half of the Flying Squirrels' baserunners as the rest of the lineup managed just a single and a walk.
Kickham threw less than half his pitches for strikes (39 of 81) while issuing a season-high 5 BB. His BB/IP is now above 0.75. He has completed the 4th inning in just two of his five starts, but his ERA is still just 3.00. Reichard provided effective long relief, and Gloor pitched a perfect 8th inning with 2 K, snapping a string of three straight appearances allowing at least one earned run.

Snodgrass had the best start of his pro career, at least from a statistical perspective. In his third straight start not allowing a run, he had a new season-high 7.0 IP and matched his season-high 5 K. After allowing 10 H and 5 R in his first start, he has allowed just 11 H and 1 R in his subsequent four starts. Rosin pitched a perfect 9th inning for his 3rd save.
