Predictions, Predictions, Predictions

Over at Beyond the Boxscore, there's a great look at the future contract situations/young players/window to win for the Giants. There's a snazzy graphic and everything, so you should check it out. Go now. NOW.

In the text of that article, we have this:

Last week, Jason Brannon from Baseball Nation compiled projected 2012 standings from PECOTA (Baseball Prospectus), Marcel (Tom Tango), CAIRO (Replacement Level Yankees Weblog), and Clay Davenport. Here's how the compiled projections sees the NL West:

San Francisco 85
Arizona 84
Colorado 83
Los Angeles 77
San Diego 76

The abacus twiddlers are seeing a lot of regression that my strawhat eyes aren't seeing. I'll trust them more, but only because I'm scared of the shaming that goes on in our Internet baseball community. So the Giants have won the West! Whew. I was getting nervous.

My predictions, which are useless. I encourage you to share your useless predictions as well:

Yankees 92 - 70
Rays 91 - 71*
Red Sox 90 - 72*
Blue Jays 81 -81
Orioles 66 - 96

Tigers 88 - 74
Indians 82 - 80
White Sox 79 - 83
Royals 73 - 89
Twins 70- 92

Angels 91 - 71
Rangers 90 - 72*
A's 71 - 91
Mariners - 70 - 92

***

Phillies 91 -71
Braves 90 - 72*
Marlins 87 - 75
Nationals 84 - 78
Mets 70 - 92

Cardinals 91 - 71
Brewers 89 - 73*
Reds 86 - 76
Cubs 72 - 90
Pirates 72 - 90
Astros 56 - 106

Diamondbacks 91 - 71
Giants 89 - 73*
Padres 80 - 82
Rockies 76 - 86
Dodgers 72 - 90

NLDS: Brewers, Braves, Giants flip a series of coins. Then they do rock/paper/scissors. One of them plays the other one. Then they advance to the NLCS by beating the Phillies. Diamondbacks over Cardinals

ALDS: Same thing, But with Rangers, Red Sox, and Rays. Wild Card beats the Yankees. Angels beat the Tigers

NLCS: Mystery wild card over Diamondbacks

ALDS: Mystery wild card over Angels

World Series: Mystery Wild Cards, ahoy! Someone wins.

Here are my predictions (NL and AL) last year so you can laugh at them.
