Tuesday highlight from the Giants' farm: Jose Cuevas homered twice. Also notable, Joaquin Arias had two doubles and a single in three plate appearances.

Arias hit safely in all three plate appearances, including his 4th and 5th doubles, before being removed for a pinch runner in the 6th inning. His pinch hitter, Stromsmoe, had his 2nd HR. Drawing three of the Grizzlies' four walks, Bond reached base four times. Triunfel must like facing the Grizzlies. Among other hits, both his HRs this year have come against Fresno.

Petit has now had less than 5.0 IP in each of his last three starts. His ERA rose above 6.00.

Brown, Cavan and Mayora each had two of the Flying Squirrels' eight hits. Mayora's AVG is nearly .400, but he also committed his 7th error in 17 games.

For the third time in four starts, Stevenson came up shy of pitching five full frames. After 5 BB over his first three starts combined, he issued 5 BB more in his fourth start while throwing just 39 of 72 pitches for strikes.

On a night when all nine Giants in the starting lineup had at least one hit, both Oropesa and Jurica had three hits, raising their respective AVGs to .267 and .327. Sanchez, making his second rehab appearance, was one of four other Giants with two hits.

Schumer allowed a season-high 11 H and matched a season-high with 5 ER. He has pitched at least five innings in each of his four starts, but his ERA is above 5.00. Valdez and McCormick combined for 2.1 perfect IP in relief.

Cuevas had three hits, including his 2nd and 3rd HRs. Mergenthaler also reached base three times.

Biagini had his second straight start with 4 ER, raising his ERA above 8.00. Davis had 3.1 perfect IP in long relief. His 3 K were a new season high (in six appearances).
