Open World Series parade thread

There is a parade today. It is to celebrate the Giants winning the World Series.

Whooops! This is from the *last* parade! Which was, like, 725 days ago.

I'm going to this thing. There are probably going to be hundreds of people there, and I'm a little worried that I won't get cell reception or wi-fi. As such, I'm scheduling a bunch of overflow threads -- one for 10:30, one for 11:30, and one for 12:30. I have no idea if there will be that many comments, so the threads could be spooky ghost towns. Yipes! Pick one and force the off-topic chatter in the direction you want it to go, I guess.

If you're out of the area, not to worry:

On Wednesday, Oct. 31, ESPN3 will provide live coverage of the 2012 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants celebration and parade live from San Francisco, Calif. ESPN3's coverage begins at 1:30 p.m. ET and will continue through the presentation and remarks at the San Francisco Civic Center.

ESPN3 is the one that you can watch from your computer and phone, unless your cable provider is a dud, which mine is. Most of you should get it.

Parade! Ticker tape! Willie Mays! Willie McCovey! A trophy! This is much better than getting swept by the Reds.
