Tuesday highlights from the Giants' farm: Jarrett Parker reached base in all five plate appearances, and Adam Duvall homered while reaching base three times.  Also notable, Zack Wheeler allowed 1 ER in 5.0 IP.

AAA: Fresno lost to Tacoma 6-2
(with all the game's runs scored in the first three innings)

Fresno: SP Dan Runzler: 3.0 IP, 6 H, 6, R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K--1 HR, 1 E
Fresno: RP Ronnie Ray: 3.0 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 3 K--1 WP

Gonzalez had one of the Grizzlies' four hits and one of their three walks as the lone Grizzly to reach baes twice.  Ackley, the Mariners' top prospect, reached base three times.  After hitting just .211 in April, tonight he raised his season AVG to an even .300.

Making his third start, Runzler retired barely half his batters faced.  Pitching in long relief, Ray had 3.0 scoreless IP.

AA: Richmond lost to Binghamton 6-4
(with all the game's runs scored in the first two innings)

Binghamton: 2B Reese Havens: 2 for 5, HR, 2 SO, SB

Richmond: SP Ryan Verdugo: 5.0 IP, 8 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 1 BB, 7 K--1 HR

Christian had two of the Flying Squirrels' six hits, with his 9th double being the team's lone XBH.  Monell was one of two other Squirrels to reach base twice.  Havens, one of the Mets' top ten prospects, had his 2nd HR and 1st SB.  He has played in just 18 games this year.

After allowing 5 ER in the 1st inning and a solo HR early in the 2nd inning, Verdugo bounced back, allowing just a couple singles the rest of the way.  His ERA rose to 3.00.

Parker and Peguero combined to reach base in nine of ten plate appearances.  Brown had his fourth straight game without a hit.  Fairley had his 2nd HR.

Despite issuing 5 BB, Wheeler had his third straight start with 1 R or less.  Over his last eight starts, he has 29 BB (and 50 K) in 45.2 IP.

A-: Augusta lost to Lexington 5-2

Duvall had his 17th HR while reaching base three times.  With a five-game hitting streak and a HR in each of his last three games, he has improved his season line to .261/.357/.539 through 245 AB.  Scoma had three hits, but his AVG remains below .250.

Kickham's seventh start matched his season high with 3 BB and his season low with 4 K.  His K/BB ratio slipped below 3.00.  Making his seventh relief appearance, Rosin faced just one batter over the minimum in 3.0 scoreless IP.  Both Kickham and Rosin have ERAs above 4.00.

DSL: Giants defeated Cubs2 9-4

Dominican: LF Julio Pena: 2 for 4, HR
Dominican: SP Adalberto Mejia: 6.1 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 8 K--2 HB

Through his first nine pro games Pena (18.6 y.o.) has 3 HRs, although just a .200 AVG.  Mejia's (17.11 y.o.) fourth start included new highs with 6.1 IP and 8 K, although 2 ER was also a new high.  He continues to impress with a K/IP above 1.00 and a WHIP below 1.00.
