Gonzalez had one of the Grizzlies' four hits and one of their three walks as the lone Grizzly to reach baes twice. Ackley, the Mariners' top prospect, reached base three times. After hitting just .211 in April, tonight he raised his season AVG to an even .300.
Making his third start, Runzler retired barely half his batters faced. Pitching in long relief, Ray had 3.0 scoreless IP.
AA: Richmond lost to Binghamton 6-4

Christian had two of the Flying Squirrels' six hits, with his 9th double being the team's lone XBH. Monell was one of two other Squirrels to reach base twice. Havens, one of the Mets' top ten prospects, had his 2nd HR and 1st SB. He has played in just 18 games this year.
After allowing 5 ER in the 1st inning and a solo HR early in the 2nd inning, Verdugo bounced back, allowing just a couple singles the rest of the way. His ERA rose to 3.00.

Kickham's seventh start matched his season high with 3 BB and his season low with 4 K. His K/BB ratio slipped below 3.00. Making his seventh relief appearance, Rosin faced just one batter over the minimum in 3.0 scoreless IP. Both Kickham and Rosin have ERAs above 4.00.

Through his first nine pro games Pena (18.6 y.o.) has 3 HRs, although just a .200 AVG. Mejia's (17.11 y.o.) fourth start included new highs with 6.1 IP and 8 K, although 2 ER was also a new high. He continues to impress with a K/IP above 1.00 and a WHIP below 1.00.
