Tuesday highlight from the Giants' farm: Eric Surkamp allowed only an unearned run in 7.0 IP.  Also notable, Tyler Graham reached base four times.

Batting leadoff, Graham reached base four times, improving his OBP to .336.  Belt was the only other Grizzly to reach base twice.  Evans had his 1st HR (in 95 AB).

Banks had a quality start for the third time in his last four starts but took the loss.  He bounced back after allowing 3 ER in the 1st inning with five scoreless frames thereafter.  He was efficient with his pitch count, throwing just 85 pitches (59 strikes).  Romero had 2 K in a perfect 7th inning.  In his fifth rehab appearance, Santiago worked a perfect 8th inning in which he threw just 8 pitches (6 strikes).  Figueroa, who started the season in the majors but had an ERA close to 9.00, has allowed just 2 ER in both of his PCL starts since his demotion.

The lone Flying Squirrle to reach base twice, Kieschnick improved his season line to .239/.290/.337 through 163 AB.  After a slow start in in April (.537 OPS), he has hit better in May (.722 OPS).

Surkamp had another fine start.  Allowing only an unearned run, he improved his ERA to 1.53.  After three straight starts with 10 K earlier this season, he has had 5 K in each of his subsequent three starts.
