Fresno: RP Geno Espineli: 1.0 IP, 1 K
Fresno: RP Steven Edlefsen: 0.1 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB

Pill's four singles accounted for a quarter of the Grizzlies' sixteen hits and raised his AVG to .321.  Belt and Gillaspie were two of three other Grizzlies with a multi-hit performance.  Eldred and Rohlinger both relivered pinch-hit HRs to plate three of the Grizzlies' four runs.

Mathis faced just three batters over the minimum in 6.0 no-hit IP.  He had a 11/3 GO/FO line before he was removed for a pinch hitter after throwing 96 pitches (54 strikes).  Espineli, who was released by the Rockies earlier this year, pitched a perfect 7th inning in his second appearance back with Fresno.  For the third time in his last six appearances, Edlefsen allowed at least 3 ER, inflating his ERA to nearly 7.00.

AA: Richmond had a scheduled off-day
(their only scheduled off-day in May)

A+: San Jose tied with Stockton 6-6 through 15 innings
(scoring four runs in the 1st inning for the early lead and then tying the game with a run in both the 11th and 13th innings)

San Jose; CF Gary Brown: 1 for 6, SH
San Jose: 2B Ryan Cavan: 1 for 6, HR, 3 SO
San Jose: 3B Chris Dominguez: 3 for 6, HR, SO

San Jose: SP Santiago Casilla: 2.0 IP, 2 H, 1 BB
San Jose: RP Craig Westcott: 5.1 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 2 K--1 HR, 1 WP

Dominguez's three hits, including his 9th HR, paced the Giants' offense and raised his AVG to .285.  With two outs in the 11th inning, Cavan connected for his 5th HR to extend the game deeper into extra innings.  Brown finally got a hit in the 15th inning to extend his hitting streak to eleven games.

Casilla retired five of eight batters in his second rehab appearance.  Westcott effectively made his seventh start of the year.  With 4 ER in each of his last two starts, he has as many ER in his last two starts as in his first five starts, raising his ERA above 3.50.

Augusta: SP Shawn Sanford: 7.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 K--2 HB
Augusta: RP Jacob Dunnington: 0.0 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB--1 HB

Raf-Rod had his 1st HR of the year, one two big flies for the GreenJackets.  He was the lone GreenJacket with two hits, raising his AVG to .274.  Adrianza drew three walks as he reached base four times.

Sanford has pitched fairly well since joining the rotation.  In four of five starts, he has allowed just 1 ER.  Dunnington did not retire any of his five batters.
