Wednesday highlights from the Giants' farm: Juan Perez homered while reaching base four times, and Brett Pill homered and singled. Also notable, Chris Lofton and Raynor Campbell both homered for Salem-Keizer while reaching base three times each.

In the 8th inning, Pill and Borchard went deep back-to-back. Pills' 13th HR scored three runs, and Borchard's 12th HR pulled the Grizzlies' within the one run, which they scratched out later in the inning. Graham's three hits paced the Grizzlies' twelve-hit attack and rasied his AVG back to .350.
Pucetas allowed just two runs through five innings before being roughed up for four runs int he 6th inning. His ERA is now above 6.00.

Belt was the lone Flying Squirrel to reach base safely twice as their offense was limited to four singles and Belt's two walks. Hechavarria, the Cuban signed by the Blue Jays this past off-season, had three hits. After hitting just .193 in 161 AB in the Florida State League, he has hit .306 in 134 AB since being promoted to the Eastern League.
Romero had his shortest start of the year, retiring just four of the ten batters he faced. Sisco had the longest outing of the five Squirrels' pitchers to appear in the game, although he allowed 5 ER in that time. The 29-year-old Hill, who has spent parts of the last four seasons in the majors but has generally been beset with injuries in his career, shut out the Giants' affiliate as he made just his sixth start of the year and first in the upper minors.

Perez had three of the Giants' seven hits, including his 9th HR and organization-leading 31st double. For the year, he is hitting .298/.340/.478, although much of the damage represented there was done the first two months of the season. The red-hot Monell cooled off with an oh-fer that included a hat trick. His SO/AB ratio is nearly 25%.
Fitzgerald allowed 3 ER despite facing just four batters over the minimum in 6.0 IP. He had perhaps his best strikeout performance of the year, striking out better than a third of his 22 batters. Otero made his first full-season appearance in over a year with a perfect 8th inning. Stoffel got his 20th save.

Toole had an ineffective start. With 5+ ER allowed in four of his last seven starts, his ERA has risen to 4.48.

Rogers matched a season-high with 6 K in one of his better starts of the year, improving his ERA to 3.71 through ten starts. Harrold stranded three baserunners and finished with 2 K in 1.1 perfect IP for his 3rd save.

Paniagua allowed a season-high 5 ER, raising his ERA to 4.76. In his second appearance, Willis walked the only batter he faced. Kline had 3 K in his first rehab appearance. He had a 2.59 ERA in eighteen appearances for Augusta previously this year.
