Just one game on the Giants' farm last night as Salem-Keizer evened their playoff series, highlighted by Chris Gloor with 6.1 shutout IP.

AAA: Fresno ended its season on Labor Day

AA: Connecticut had an off-day before the starts of its playoff series

A+: San Jose has a first-round bye in the Cal League playoffs
(The Giants will face the winner of the Bakersfield-Modesto best-of-three series which begins tonight.)

Biery provided the game's only run through the first eight innings with his two-out, solo HR in the 4th inning.  Martinez had two of the Volcanoes' four hits.  Lollis drew three walks.  Cavan was a third Volcano to reach base twice.

Gloor, who had a 3.90 ERA in seven NWL starts, had perhaps the best start of his young pro career, allowing just three baserunners and no runs in 6.1 IP.  Quinowski and Stoffel each struck out two of the four batters they faced.
