Post-Game Recap: The Giants Score More Runs For Matt Cain

Matt Cain: Proven winner. Last year, he was too caught up in making the perfect pitch in a scoreless game, and he'd get burned. Now, he's just a smarter pitcher. When he allows ten baserunners in his first four innings now, he's doing it with a winner's attitude. He's not so hung up with the "keeping the opposition scoreless" mentality that dogged him last year. Now Cain knows how to win.

I'll keep writing stupid stuff like that in the hopes that I make a single "Cain don't know how to win and such"-believer realize how silly that position was.

Sarcasm aside, I'm just thrilled for Cain. I don't believe in karma, and I don't believe in things evening out...but this symmetry sure fits.

Also of note: Pablo Sandoval is like ten pounds of Ted Williams in a nine-pound sack..
