"Say, Grant", no one has ever asked, "what are you really afraid of?"
I'm not afraid of rebuilding. Sure, it isn't a whole bunch of fun to watch the Giants lose 90 or 100 games, but I can accept it when it comes as part of a general plan. Heck, if the team is already in the doghouse, there's a part of me that's secretly looking forward to the high draft pick. I'm not afraid to watch the Giants lose.
But I'll always be afraid of the Giants losing to the Dodgers in a humiliating fashion, even if the Giants are leading their division by 15 games. These games stress me the hell out.
Beat L.A., dammit.
