On September 4th, Rajai Davis went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored. Up until that point, he had three or more at-bats in 24 of 33 games since coming over to the Giants. His averages were .295/.376/.416.
Since then, he's had three or more at-bats in three games out of 11. He's slumping, and he's down to .282/.359/.393.
Is he slumping because he isn't good, or is he slumping because he isn't getting at-bats? And why, when he was the only spark of life on the entire team, was his playing time cut back?
Eh. Maybe this isn't such a big deal. But I really want Dave Roberts to go somewhere where he'll be appreciated. Nice guy. Tries hard. Hustles. Redundant, though.
