I didn't see the games yesterday, but someone in a restaurant said the Giants split the doubleheader. Let me hazard a guess as to how they went down:
- Matt Cain struggled early, but rebounded to have a pretty nice start. The Giants refused to score runs for him, and he picked up the loss.
- Noah Lowry allowed 57 baserunners, wiggled out of 48 different jams, threw 110 pitches in six innings, and picked up the win.
Close enough. Damn, I hate how predictable this team can be. No foolin': Those were actual, off-the-cuff guesses. I'm absolutely disgusted with the lack of run support for Matt Cain. This could be an unlucky season for the ages.
