I'm a little disappointed the Giants didn't get David Wright, Jose Reyes, Lastings Milledge, and Aaron Heilman for Jason Schmidt, but I'll live. I'll save the outrage for when I read this:
"Today the Giants declined to offer arbitration to Jason Schmidt, Ray Durham, Moises Alou, Pedro Feliz, and just to be safe, Charlie Hayes."
So the team stands pat, and maybe they'll get a couple of high draft picks if the pending free agents don't sign. There weren't any ridiculous deals involving Jonathan Sanchez. I'll accept that, and now I'll beg a few deities to allow the Giants to make up four games in the standings.
